  • Overview

    At BBVA Compass, the Mortgage Robotics Process Automation (RPA) Business Process Analyst is responsible for gathering business requirements for robotics automation to support origination processes. This role provides support to emerging technology and is a great opportunity to work on highly visible projects within the department. A successful candidate works independently and as part of a team, Business Process Analysts will analyze processes, identify areas of opportunity, define projects to improve performance and drive those projects to completion. Analyst will manage some or all aspects of projects, including creating project plans, business requirements documents, test plans, facilitating project team activities and meetings, ensuring adherence to deadlines and communicating progress and results.

    Responsibilities

    • Work in a collaborative team environment to support automation and the development of bots (new features, enhancements and defect resolution)
    • Gather business requirements, develop and or support project plans, and develop functional specifications for Mortgage systems and its supporting systems
    • Document business requirements, functional requirements, process flow diagrams (including impact to other UI, functions, and modules), testing requirements, and use cases in a format that can be consumed by project team members
    • Conduct and participate in scope and/or analysis review meetings
    • Collaborate with product owners to assist with prioritization
    • Author and/or review scope and analysis documents
    • Coordinate, communicate, and collaborate between project team members
    • Provide work effort estimates based on input from project team members

    Qualifications

    • 3 - 5 years of experience as a Software Business Analyst
    • Good understanding of Software Development Life Cycle, applicable to enterprise software applications
    • Experience in gathering and documenting business requirements, system requirements, use cases, and process flow diagrams for business applications
    • Ability to collect, analyze and interpret both qualitative and quantitative data
    • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
    • Excellent and effective oral and written communication skills
    • Ability to build strong relationships
    • Strong presentation skills
    • Strong team facilitation skills
    • Competence in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, Excel, Project, and Visio
    • Experience in the Mortgage industry is a plus
    • Experience in Agile methodology preferred
    • Degree in Accounting, Business, Information Systems is essential but experience will also be considered
