    Responsibilities

    This position may be a people manager exercising the authority to hire and terminate employees. The incumbent will also have responsibility for the performance management process for the team. Manages a team of Financial Analysts as part of a larger line of business organization.

     

    Responsible for coordinating, conducting and documenting financial analysis projects and communicating results. Responsibilities and projects range from simple to complex and require the use of analytical modeling and business problem solving skills.

    Works on assignments extremely complex in nature where analysis of situations or data requires an evaluation of intangible factors. Exercises considerable independent judgment in recognizing problems and developing solutions. Errors may cause substantial expense and may expose the company to risk for additional loss or may create government/ regulatory issues. Develops new methods and procedures according to company objectives. Provides guidance to professionals and managers in organization. Level of review dependent on nature of assignment.

    PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Support the Retail Banking Network Executive and the Retail Sales segment of the Retail line of business.
    • Assist with the coordination of the financial planning process for a business unit.
    • Develop outlooks, forecasts and annual plans as required to support business operating units.
      Performs variance analysis of actual and planned results.
    • Develop and maintain financial models and reports to support business unit requirements.
    • Assist business unit management in developing their budgets and understanding the profitability of the business unit.
    • Develop, analyze, and report business unit metrics as appropriate. Review processes and propose recommendations for improvement.
    • Manage staff consisting of financial analyst(s) and delegate responsibilities and prioritize activities.
    • Present results of analysis and make recommendations to management. Develop financial processes, tools and controls to support business unit requirements. Assess overall financial impact of business unit activities.
    • Assist with incentive planning, development, payment processing, and reporting for the assigned business unit.

    • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or Accounting (or Bachelor's degree and Masters in related field) with 7 - 8  years experience or equivalent training and experience.

     

    PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

     

    • Experience with TM1.
    • Experience with relational databases and querying skills (MS Access, SQL, etc.)
    • Advanced Excel skills
