    Responsibilities

    The Role

    • Relationship Manager in the CIB USA Corporate Banking Group
    • Reports to one of two Corporate Banking Team Leaders
    • Preferably based in Houston, Dallas or NY but location can be flexible
    • Manage a portfolio of clients and prospects with revenues $1.5B and above; responsible for all relationship management and business development functions related to those clients and prospects. Specific goals would include net loan and deposit growth, cross-sell penetration, cross-border/international revenue generation, relationship returns, and credit quality.
    • Builds and maintains effective and influential relationships at senior levels within client/prospect organizations;
    • Develops and implements strategies to provide high quality, creative and integrated services to clients, leveraging multiple product partner relationships
    • Lead and/or participate in new business development initiatives targeting existing and prospective clients’ organizations;
    • Acts as the sector or industry specialist for one or more sectors/industries; Serves as the overall subject matter expert and business consultant for clients and prospects within those sector groups

    Qualifications

    The Qualifications 

    • 15 years of corporate banking experience (companies $1.5B+), preferably in business development with demonstrated track record of success
    • Minimum of 3 years or management experience
    • Deep experience in capital markets products and services, M&A, and leveraged finance
    • Prefer experience with cross-border banking
    • Spanish language skills are a plus
    • Must be a team player capable of excelling in a highly matrixed organizational structure, developing trust-based relationships with a wide variety of internal constituents
    • Strong credit skills with corporate clients. Workout or restructuring experience is a plus
    • Extensive travel, occasionally international travel, is required.
    • Series 7 license or the ability to become licensed
    • Must meet credit history and criminal background requirements associated with Financial Industry Regulatory Authority registration process, to include FBI fingerprint criminal history, review of credit report, civil litigation, liens, and other public records.
