Coordinates team of System Analysts that provide technology support to the Compliance department. With the objective of meeting the current and future information needs of the business unit, applies a deep knowledge of the business unit’s needs with an expert knowledge of the systems technology to solve complex business problems. Defines and performs highly complex analytical systems development tasks to improve the quality of information and service to the assigned area of business.
Primarily this support is focused on Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) systems, including but not limited to monitoring systems and supported production operations, control execution, change management, system optimization, user access administration, process and procedure documentation, management and ad-hoc reporting, data analysis / mining, and system reviews. The Team Leader is responsible for the day to day use and monitoring of BSA systems, including working with analysts and stakeholders to identify and prioritize work to be done (ensuring identification and resolution of any potential issues or of any opportunities to increase production effectiveness and efficiency), ensure execution of requests and control responsibilities, and ensure management remains aware of status and challenges as applicable. Support is mostly focused on BBVA Compass Bank, but includes support of other BBVA U. S. entities.
Secondarily this support includes Compliance technology effort outside of BSA, including but not limited to process improvement (including through Robotics Process Automation / BOTs), data acquisition and analysis, business continuity plan administration, and user access administration. Other duties may be assigned by management.
