Responsibilities

As a member of the Collections & Recovery team, creates and maintains analytics and dashboards to support the successful execution of strategy and operations; promotes the use of analytics for the Collections & Recovery team and identifies where analytics can be leveraged to drive effectiveness and efficiency in business strategies.

Collaborates with business partners to gather requirements and business process understanding in support of analytics and dashboard creation; partners with operations teams on business strategy development

Drive the processes to incorporate data and analytics into Collections & Recovery process, including continuous scientific strategy testing, risk assessments and data-driven root cause analysis; assists with the establishment of standard analytics definitions and documentation standards that are supported by clear data definitions and clear traceability to data sources

Builds reusable analytics tools, templates and request forms; automates static dashboards and operational reporting

Assist in the development and maintenance of databases with IT partners to ensure business needs can be met

Remains abreast of the latest software to build tools, reports and conduct analysis most efficiently

Qualifications

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Mathematics/Statistics, MIS or a related field

5 years of progressively responsible work-related experience that demonstrates successful analytics work or an equivalent combination of education and experience to be considered for Senior Level

Experience with Tableau, and SAS software preferred

Job Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of SQL is required for consideration above Entry Level

Ability to design and develop analytics within various technical tools to deliver meaningful insights to support audits

Knowledge of collections and recovery in the banking industry preferred

Knowledge and understanding of financial and business process controls

Ability to use analysis skills to investigate and fully understand the root causes of problems and find solutions

Strong collaboration and organizational skills

Excellent presentation, oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills to effectively interact with management and internal and external business contacts

Attention to detail to ensure accuracy of data

Ability to communicate and present to diverse audiences, including executive management, via dashboards and Microsoft PowerPoint
