What will you be doing?

Job Summary

Operates the alarm monitoring systems, video surveillance systems and card access systems. Performs programming and technical support functions for these systems. Reacts to emergency situations, taking action to protect the employees, customers and assets of BBVA Compass Bank. Identifies weaknesses and physical security risks. Trains entry level CGA Operators.

Responsibilities

  • Operates computer systems that control and monitor alarms, video surveillance systems and card access systems.
  • Performs programming and technical support functions for these systems.
  • Reacts to emergency situation, taking action to protect the employees, customers and assets of BBVA Compass Bank.
  • Submit work orders as needed.
  • Document all operator actions.
  • Monitor testing of alarms.
  • Thorough knowledge of all programming requirements.
  • Ability to communicate both written and oral with other LOBs to ensure assets of BBVA Compass Bank are secured at all times.
  • Sufficient technical knowledge to be able to assist security vendors identify malfunctions in security equipment.
  • Sufficient knowledge of Excel, and other office software.
  • Identifies weaknesses and physical security risks.
  • Trains entry level Console Operators

  • Skilled in a variety of PC software applications (word, excel, power point)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Good organizational skills, flexibility in decision making, and the ability to accomplish tasks in a timely manner meeting assigned deadlines
  • Possess the ability to handle multiple cases concurrently requiring multi-tasking skills
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision
  • Must be self-motivated
  • Prioritize of daily assignments

 

 

Education/Training/Certification

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Proficient ability to use a computer (inputting and retrieving data) and standard software.
  • Two years Security Console operations experience or college degree.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills (both in person and via the telephone).

Corporate Responsibility

  • Maintains high level of confidentiality with regard to all information channeled through Corporate Security Operations
  • Represents Corporate Security Operations with the utmost professional behavior and integrity
  • Maintains and builds rapport with the Investigations Team, branch employees and all LOBs
  • Adheres to the Bank’s Code of Conduct
  • Build and foster Service Level Agreement with LOB
  • Places all managerial requests first
  • Be able and willing to take on additional responsibilities or challenges directed by Department Management
