The Role

The Manager of Consumer Finance Reporting and Business Intelligence has responsibility for data management, operational reporting, ad hoc analysis and data mining across all Consumer Finance channels, supporting the daily operations and strategic growth of the division.  The incumbent will manage a team of analysts to analyze data and produce actionable recommendations for pricing, strategy and tactical decision making by front-line management and senior executives. 


Essential Functions

  1. Provide strategic thinking and management of a team of analysts with the ability to identify, present and implement a long term strategic focus that creates targeted, forward looking, best-fit solutions.
  2. Collaborate with team members in the areas of customer experience and analytics, product management, pricing, marketing strategy and Engineering to ensure strategic business objectives are met, key performance indicators are identified and results are validated, creating rich business insights.
  3. Analyze and present results to senior management and recommend future action plans.
  4. Develop and execute best practice testing procedures and controls including proper definition, design, analysis and recommendation.
  5. Provide exploratory questions, insights and analysis to identify potential improvement opportunities.
  6. Act as the primary liaison between the line of business and data mart teams in the creation and validation of data structures.
  7. Implementation of self-serve business intelligence/reporting solutions within the line of business.
  8. Provide subject matter expertise to Consumer Finance team in the areas of Sales and Operational Performance and Dealer, Market, Credit and Volume Trends.
  9. Responsible for strict adherence to all compliance and regulatory requirements as well as department policies and procedures.


Prefer to fill in Dallas, however can also be filled in Houston and Birmingham.


Required Qualifications

  1. A Bachelor’s degree is required or equivalent professional experience. .
  2. A minimum of seven (7) years of business intelligence experience, extracting and analyzing data using tools such as Python, R, SQL Developer, TOAD, SAS or SPSS and providing actionable analysis and reporting. 
  3. Experience in automated monitoring processes, quantitative analysis, data validation and database management.
  4. Strong communication skills with drive for collaborative and creative approach.


Preferred Qualifications

  1. Masters of Business Administration degree.
  2. Direct management or leadership experience.
  3. Experience implementing Business Intelligence/Reporting solutions is strongly preferred.
