What will you be doing?

Are you a go-getter with a strong desire to help BBVA Compass’ Engineering management committee manage contracts, vendors and find efficiencies? Would you like to help co-workers successfully complete large scale technology purchases? Do you have a passion for delivering, solving problems, and thinking outside the box? This may be the perfect role for you. The Strategy, Control & Deployment team is looking for a Business Systems Analyst for the ELM Support team.


Working across each division within Engineering, and partnering with Risk and Procurement teams, the Business Systems Analyst will be the primary point of contact, managing multiple contracts, providing insight and reporting to ensure we make the right decisions when partnering with vendors and service providers. This Business Systems Analyst will also be responsible for the T3 process, working locally and globally to manage multiple requests through the approval process.


The Business Systems Analyst should bring an analytical mind, attention to detail, appreciation for questioning the status quo and finding efficiencies. The ideal candidate should be thorough, outgoing and ready to push efforts to completion.


  • Assists in compiling the documentation required for initiatives and projects in preparation for submission to BBVA Global
  • Submits technology requests to BBVA Global for review
  • Maintains status reporting for technology purchases
  • Maintains list of active vendors and contracts for Engineering
  • Coordinates meetings with CIO direct reports to discuss projects and initiatives in order to determine the most efficient solution
  • Assists in training lower-level business systems analysts or technical support staff
  • Develops in-depth knowledge of the technology needs of the business unit and pursues the technical skills necessary to support those needs
  • Performs special projects as assigned


What you will bring:

Required Qualifications:

  • Bilingual – English/Spanish
  • Strong skills in organization, documentation, and verbal/written communications
  • Problem-solving oriented
  • Ability to thrive in a high pressure environment, multi-task, manage time and follow through with assignments
  • Experience on Windows Operating Systems /Microsoft Office products (Excel and others)
